Instinct opens group chats to early access users
A shared agent can coordinate plans while personal agents check permissions before sharing information.

Instinct opened group chats to early access users on October 5, founder Noah Shinn said in his announcement. A shared agent can help plan trips or coordinate household tasks. Friends can participate without their own Instinct.
Personal account access stays separate
According to Shinn, the group agent cannot directly access personal accounts. A personal agent asks before linking to a group, checks permissions before sharing information or acting, and lets users withdraw trust.
When someone joins, pending personal agent replies wait for permission to reach the expanded group. ByteForward has not audited these controls.
Wider availability is promised soon, with no date. Users can ask their Instinct to join the early access list.
ByteForward also examined message access when Grok joins XChat groups.
