Claude Money leak points to bank links in the mobile app
September 14 screenshots show a Claude Money tab and bank linking prompt. A public launch, supported banks and access permissions remain unconfirmed.

A Claude Money interface reported on September 14 points to a possible personal finance feature in Anthropic’s mobile app. The TestingCatalog observation shows a Money entry and an onboarding screen inviting users to connect bank accounts. It remains an unresolved product preview, rather than a confirmed October launch.
What the screenshots actually establish
The Money entry sits in the app’s navigation. The onboarding page uses a piggy bank illustration, describes questions about spending and plans, and includes a Get started button. BleepingComputer reproduced the images on September 16, crediting TestingCatalog’s original discovery.
That second report makes the interface easier to inspect, but it is not an independent confirmation of the underlying service. The images show neither a completed account connection nor a live balance. They also do not identify a bank data provider, a supported institution list or transaction permissions.
The confirmed finance product serves professionals
Anthropic did launch Claude for Financial Advisors on September 14. That product connects professional tools and adds skills for tasks such as preparing client meetings, reviewing portfolios and drafting documentation. Its partners include Addepar, BlackRock and Charles Schwab.
The official announcement keeps professional judgment and approval with the advisor. It describes a plugin and an enterprise workflow, which is a different product surface from the consumer Money screen. A bank or provider appearing in that professional announcement cannot automatically be treated as a supported partner for Claude Money.
Access and action remain separate questions
If a consumer finance feature ships, its usefulness will depend on more than a new navigation label. Readers would need to know which information is imported, how often it updates, how access can be revoked and whether permission extends beyond reading data. None of those details can be established from an onboarding screenshot alone.
Anthropic’s current browser guidance also advises against using Claude’s browser tools to manage or take actions involving financial accounts. That guidance covers existing browser features. It should not be interpreted as the policy for an unannounced Money service, or as a reason to use browser automation as a substitute for it.
Permissions are already a separate design issue across agent products, as discussed in our coverage of Claude Code’s approval controls. A finance interface would require its own clear explanation of what the user is authorizing.
What to watch next
As of October 1, the official pages reviewed did not establish a Claude Money release date, pricing, geographic rollout or supported bank connections. The next meaningful evidence would be a named public release with documentation about access and data handling. Until then, the September screenshots support a narrower conclusion that Anthropic has explored a dedicated Money interface.
