Fusion Assistant introduces monthly agent quotas

Fusion Assistant quotas vary by plan and affect extra usage

Listen to this article

Autodesk’s October 1 announcement sets October 6 for monthly Fusion Assistant allowances, while its Help page lists September 30. The company’s published rollout dates conflict.

How the allowance works

The blog lists 20 tokens monthly for commercial Fusion and 10 for personal or education users. A trial receives 10 once. Unused monthly tokens expire, and refresh follows the subscription cycle.

Help defines 120 AI assists per included token, with task complexity affecting consumption. It describes allowances calculated per seat and pooled across teams. Information and guidance do not consume the quota. Owners and administrators can check balances in Autodesk Account.

After the quota runs out

Commercial users can buy more Flex tokens. Personal users who do so move to commercial Fusion under standard Flex rules. Education users cannot buy more capacity and must wait for the monthly refresh. Trial users must buy Fusion to continue metered work.

Included tokens cover eligible Fusion Assistant actions, not other Flex products. Quantities may change during beta.

Our advice is to try one representative task with a recorded starting balance and a known expected result. Before wider use, decide who can approve additional spending. We have not tested these allowances.
