AMD plans more chip supply in 2027
Lisa Su says AMD needs more advanced wafer capacity and closer coordination with memory suppliers.

AMD plans a significant increase in chip supply during 2027, CEO Lisa Su told reporters in Taipei on October 6, according to CNA.
Su said AMD needs additional advanced wafer capacity. CNA reported that memory remains constrained across the market, with AMD coordinating demand for AI server memory and memory used by CPUs and personal computers.
AMD is extending supplier planning from one or two years to three to five, aiming to bring capacity across the supply chain online together. Su said the company would keep working through manufacturing partners.
Reuters independently reported the 2027 plan. Neither report gives a percentage increase, a chip volume target or a delivery schedule for individual customers.
