Tuskira opens its AI Agent Gateway
Tuskira publishes an alpha gateway for AI agents

Tuskira announced its open source AI Agent Gateway on October 1. The Apache 2.0 project provides a common point for routing agent tool calls and optional model traffic for teams operating their own infrastructure.
Its changelog lists earlier iterations dated September 25 and 26. Those development dates do not establish when the code first became publicly accessible.
What operators must configure
Its security guide warns that a key must be bound to a profile to prevent callers choosing other tenant profiles.
It needs PostgreSQL. ClickHouse and Redis are optional. Tuskira describes version 0.4.0 as alpha.
The demo records request bodies, which can include secrets. The README documents separate switches for model and tool body capture.
Check the versioned documentation
Versioned architecture notes label profile binding unreleased, despite its handler and migration appearing in the v0.4.0 snapshot. ByteForward has not tested enforcement.
The architecture notes also list no single sign on. Programs use keys and console users use passwords.
An initial trial should use harmless data and one limited profile. Compare an allowed call with a denied one, check what the record contains, and check how quickly access changes take effect.
ByteForward reviewed public documentation and repository records without installing the gateway. This review does not establish production readiness or protection against every unsafe agent action.
