ElevenLabs reaches $22 billion valuation in employee tender

ElevenLabs announces employee liquidity as voice agent adoption grows.

Listen to this article

ElevenLabs has completed a $300 million employee tender offer at a $22 billion valuation, according to its September 30 announcement. Wellington and T. Rowe Price led the transaction, which gives employees an opportunity to sell shares.

The voice AI company says enterprise customers now account for 55 percent of revenue. It also reports more than 15 million agent conversations each week, roughly three times the volume in February. These are company reported operating figures.

What the employee tender changes

The transaction puts a new price on employee equity. A secondary share sale generally pays the people selling existing holdings. Readers should therefore keep the $300 million tender amount separate from capital raised directly to fund the business.

That distinction matters when comparing AI financing headlines. A company valuation, proceeds from a share sale and revenue measure different things. Combining them into one growth claim makes the business look easier to assess than it is.

A higher valuation than the February round

ElevenLabs announced its $500 million Series D on February 4 at an $11 billion valuation. Sequoia Capital led that round. The company said the money would support research, product development and international expansion.

In a separate May 5 business update, ElevenLabs said it had passed $500 million in annual recurring revenue during the first four months of 2026. That update also described an earlier $100 million employee tender, alongside the third close of its Series D financing.

Those announcements establish useful context without turning the latest tender into another primary funding round. Annual recurring revenue is an annualized business metric. It should also be distinguished from cash collected or total revenue recognized during a completed year.

The operating question behind the valuation

ElevenLabs links its expansion to ElevenAgents, its conversational agent platform for organizations. The September announcement describes deployments across customer support, sales and other business operations, with voice and additional communication channels connected in the same platform.

For buyers, the practical test is whether an agent can finish a customer task accurately, pass difficult cases to a person and fit existing systems. A more natural voice can improve the interaction, but procurement still needs evidence from the actual workflow.

The tender is a clear commercial milestone. The next useful evidence will be how reliably those deployments perform as usage grows and whether customers continue paying for the service.
