ChatGPT adds audio uploads for transcripts and summaries
Paid ChatGPT accounts can work with recordings, subject to availability and transcription limits.

OpenAI announced audio uploads for ChatGPT on October 6. People can attach recordings and request a transcript, summary or answers about what was said.
Access covers paid subscriptions and workspaces, including Enterprise. Free accounts are excluded. Availability depends on workspace settings, region, client version and the selected model.
The support guide lists formats including MP3, WAV, FLAC and M4A, with a 512 MB cap. MP4 and WebM must contain audio only.
Long recordings may time out. OpenAI warns that transcripts can contain mistakes and speaker labels may be unreliable. Important details should be checked against the recording.
